DIY Wedding Flowers

DIY Wedding Flowers

According to the Bridal Association of America, the average cost for flowers at a wedding is $1,970 in 2009. The average cost for an entire wedding was $30,860. One day, over $30,000. Gone. Just like that. Personally, I’d rather a down payment on a house and a backyard wedding if that’s the “average”. And maybe a nice honeymoon in Hawaii.

I went to a wedding a few years ago where the couple grew all their own wildflowers and had the reception at a family farm. It was really sweet, memorable, and everyone had a great time. Here are some tutorials and inspiration for DIY wedding flowers.

If you do your own flower arrangements for your wedding like I did, you’ll definitely be saving some money. It takes some extra time, but it was cool to say that I had done it myself. I bought my flowers for a decent price at BloomsByTheBox. I ordered a ton of beautiful flowers that were shipped right to my house. So if you’re looking to save money on flowers I would suggest making your own arrangements. This blog gives some beautiful, simple ideas that anyone can do.
